Changing the Odds in Your Favor
People are funny when it comes to surveys, studies and statistics. Regardless of the numbers people seem to exhibit the belief that they are atypical and therefore the studies do not apply to them but rather to “other people”. Consider the following example:
According to the Department of Social Security the average American will retire with less than $10,000 in the bank. By age 65, only 1 out of 100 people will be wealthy, only 4 out of 100 people will be financially independent, 32 out of 100 people will be dead and 63 out of 100 people will be dependent on Social Security.
Think about that. By age sixty-five, 95% of us will be either dead or dead broke. That means that if you do not have a plan or a vehicle that will make you either wealthy or at least financially independent then the odds of you being in that 95% are … 95%.
So let us assume for the moment that you are not on track to land in that upper 5%. Do you want to be? Do you REALLY want to be? If it were within your power to do so, would you take the steps necessary to increase your chances of landing in that upper tier? How much energy, time and money would you be willing to invest in your personal success?
The good news is that there is a business that will allow you to achieve this level of success without investing a lot of money and which requires only a fraction of the time that you give to your “9 to 5”. It doesn’t require any special talent or experience. You can start immediately and work it around your schedule.
Here’s more good news. While you will be in business for yourself you will not be in business by yourself. If you are coachable and willing to take direction there are people who have a vested interest in your success who will help you at every step of your journey. You’ll find the same types of support resources used by Fortune 500 companies around the world to provide training and growth opportunities for their employees as well as personal recognition programs few companies can match.
